MedTech Junior Digital Project Engineer

We are seeking a Junior Digital Project Engineer to contribute to our success.

As a Junior Digital Project Engineer, you will be essential in driving project success by collaborating closely with clients and internal teams during sales, tenders, and project meetings. You will assess client needs, develop project plans, and oversee the installation, customization, and updating of software within IT infrastructures. Additionally, you will test system functionality to ensure seamless operation and provide ongoing support to existing clients when needed.

This is a full-time, 37.5 hrs per week, Monday to Friday position with travel required across the UK & Ireland when required for project delivery and therefore will require a Full UK Drivers Licence.

What does the role involve?

You will:

(Pre-)Sales Support 

  • Consulate local/regional sales team and the customer on Digital Solutions in providing pre-tender/pre-sales. 
  • Determining required software/hardware configuration to ensure correct ordering of required articles.

Project Management 

  • Providing project management for implementation projects at customers
  • Collaborate as sub-project manager in complex projects led by a senior project engineer.
  • Advising customer IT to ensure the customer IT infrastructure requirements fulfilled. 
  • Planning and organizing end user application training with responsible application trainer.

Project Execution

  • Install and configure, testing digital solutions on customer systems.
  • Follow-up on open topics after project closure.
  • Complete documentation of the executed work in accordance with the Medical Device Regulation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in all required systems (e.g., ticketing system, system for medical device registration)

About You, you will:

  • Qualified training or studies in computer science/IT and project management or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, Information Technology or Computer Science major or equivalent
  • Experience of 2+ years in technical project management and 1+ years of direct customer.
  • Experience in the MedTech (e.g., healthcare IT or other similar company) is an advantage.
  • Ability in analysing data for use in reports to support decision making.
  • Willing to travel within own region and internationally if applicable and hold a Full UK Drivers Licence.

IT skills:

• Basic IT user skills (MS Office, Intranet, remote maintenance tools, etc.) 

• Basic IT skills (MS OS, MS Server OS, MS SQL Server, Cyber Security, O365, PowerPoint, etc.). 

• Understand the basics of e-health, data security, and related topics.   

• Basic knowledge of software/digital life cycle is an advantage

• General knowledge of communication protocols, e.g. HL7, TCP/IP, etc. an advantage

• Experience with common systems in a clinic/hospital (e.g., PDMS, HIS, EHR, etc.) is an advantage

• Knowledge in connectivity, networks, clouds and mobile technologies is an advantage

• ITIL certification an advantage

• Certification for PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP or CSM an advantage

• Knowledge of FME digital solutions is an advantage
