An excellent communicator with the ability to strike a rapport with both colleagues and other departments within the company?

We are seeking a talented Senior Accountant who is technically strong in Statutory Accounts and Taxation, whom is ACCA, CIMA, ACA (PQ Accepted, AAT considered with relevant experience) qualified with Excel knowledge and SAP experience would be beneficial to work as part of our Accounting Team.

We require an individual who has practical Accounting and Taxation experience and can demonstrate preparation of Statutory Accounts along with Corporation Tax and VAT experience as well as good communication skills to help drive process improvements across the business by implementing process changes locally and within the Global Business Services to help them understand the changes needed for the UK and Ireland.

This is a full-time hybrid role with the occasional requirement to attend our head office in Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire of 37.5 hours a week, usually working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm.

What does the role involve?

You will:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Audits: Prepare draft statutory and consolidated accounts for the UK and Ireland entities, including CT Computations, and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
  • Tax Compliance: Manage VAT, Plastic Tax, PAYE Settlement Agreements, and other tax-related filings for UK and Ireland entities, including preparing Capital Allowance worksheets, quarterly tax packs, and annual Transfer Pricing files.
  • Process Improvement: Lead and support process improvements across the business, providing guidance on Order to Cash processes and collaborating with Global Business Services.
  • Data & Reporting: Prepare and review various financial reports, including IFRS16 calculations, National Statistics enquiries, and input for the TIP cashflow system, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Payment Oversight: Review and approve payment runs prepared by Global Business Services.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Team Support: Assist junior staff with tasks, provide cover during holidays, and ensure high standards of financial governance and SAP process knowledge are maintained.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Compliance & Safety: Adhere to Health & Safety, environmental, data protection, and company policies, while performing any other duties as required.
